SAFE START: RISK BEHAVIOUR PREVENTION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

21.03.2025 19:43

The lecture focused on preventing risky behavior in young people and provided participants with tools to recognize and prevent dependencies on addictive substances and behaviors. Participants learned about different types of addiction, including illegal (drugs) and legal (alcohol, nicotine, energy drinks), and their effects on health and daily life.

In addition to addictive substances, the lecture also addressed modern issues such as digital addiction and cyberbullying. Participants were informed about the impact of technology on the body and mind, including impaired concentration, sleep quality, and face-to-face communication skills. The topic of cyberbullying included guidelines on how to defend oneself in the online space and how to follow basic safety rules.

A significant focus was also placed on critical thinking and psychohygiene. The lecture provided tools for recognizing manipulation in advertisements and misinformation, as well as showing how to maintain mental well-being through relaxation techniques and setting healthy boundaries in relation to digital technologies.

The goal was to equip participants with practical information and skills to effectively resist risky behavior and make decisions that promote their health and mental well-being.
